The Fire Department Administration is staffed by the Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, Fire Marshal, Director of Training and an Administrative Assistant.

Fire Chief Responsibilities
The Fire Chief is overall responsible for the planning, directing, and management of all operations and functions within the Fire Department. The Chief is also responsible for communication with the public, other Village Departments, Fire Service agencies and community leaders such as the Mayor and Village Board.

Deputy Chief Responsibilities
The Deputy Chief is responsible for directing operational divisions, developing policies and procedures, monitoring divisional budgets, participating in strategic and operational planning, ensuring quality improvements, providing feedback, manage fire ground operations and special projects designated by the Fire Chief.

Fire Marshal Responsibilities
The Fire Marshal is responsible to promote public safety through implementation and enforcement of fire and life safety codes and standards. Conducts construction plan reviews for code enforcement. Works under the general guidelines and direction of the Fire Chief.

Director of Training Responsibilities
The Director of Training is responsible for determining the training and developmental needs of the department that support the organizational goals and objectives. Maintain records, evaluate and measure the effectiveness of training and development programs. Works under the general guidelines and direction of the Fire Chief.

Administrative Assistant Responsibilities
The Department Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the staff including special projects, office work flow, appointments, correspondence, budgets, payroll, data compilation and records control. May perform duties of a sensitive and confidential nature.
