Robert Tinucci was sworn in as the Fire Chief for the Roselle Fire
Department by Mayor Gayle Smolinski on December 14, 2009 after serving as Interim Fire Chief from July - December.
Tinucci
worked his way through the ranks as a firefighter for the
Darien-Woodridge Fire Protection District. He began his career there in
1974 working as a part-time firefighter. He retired as Fire Chief from
the Darien-Woodridge Fire Protection District in 2007 after serving in
that role for 16 years. Following his retirement, Tinucci remained
active in the Illinois Fire Chief's Association, the DuPage County Fire
Chief's Association, and the Northern Illinois Alliance of Fire
Protection Districts.
