Chief James Kruger was appointed Chief of the Roselle Police Department
July 5, 2006. Chief Kruger brings nearly 30 years of law enforcement
experience to the Village of Roselle. Prior to his current position,
Chief Kruger served as the Chief of Police for the Village of Winfield
for two years and served twenty years working his way up the ranks of
the Carpentersville Police Department, leaving as a Commander.
Chief
Kruger holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Leadership
from Judson University and a Master of Science in Managerial Leadership
from National-Louis University. He is a 1994 graduate of the
Northwestern University Center for Public Safety School of Staff and
Command, Class #75. He is one of only seventy Certified Police Chiefs
as designated by the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police. He is
on the Executive Boards of the Illinois Association of Chiefs of
Police, the North Suburban Police Chiefs Association and Northeast
Multi-Regional Training-Mobile Team #3. Chief Kruger was the recipient
of the Illinois State Crime Commission Award in Excellence in Law
Enforcement for 2008.
