Law Bans Electronics from Landfills
recycle electronics
A law enacted in 2012 bans TVs, computers, laptops, keyboards, monitors, printers, peripherals, VCR/DVD players, gaming systems, MP3 players and other electronic items from Illinois landfills. The Village’s waste hauler, Republic Services, will not pick up electronic waste at the curb.

Roselle residents may recycle electronics at the Bloomingdale Township Garage, 123 N. Rosedale Avenue, Bloomingdale, on the first Saturday of every month (except holiday weekends) from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The Township does not accept electronic waste during the months of January, February, March or July. For information on the type of equipment being accepted, please visit the Bloomingdale Township website.

Residents may also visit the DuPage County website for a list of municipalities and private companies that accept electronic waste, or the Schaumburg Township website for other electronic recycling drop off locations.
