Intersection Improvement - Roselle Rd. & Walnut St.
Work on the intersection improvement project at Roselle Rd. and Walnut St. has been completed, including the widening of the intersection, addition of left-turn lanes and installation of a traffic signal. The traffic signal is scheduled to go live at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 17.
Sidewalks
at the intersection were reconstructed to be ADA compliant, and
the intersection includes crosswalks and signal request push buttons
for pedestrians. This project was a part of the DuPage County Division of Transportation 2012 construction program.
Roselle Road Pavement Maintenance
Also included in the DuPage County DOT program for 2012 is pavement maintenance of Roselle Road from Lake St. to Devon Ave. This resurfacing and patching project is being undertaken during summer 2012.
While asphalt grinding was done in early-August, application of the first layer of asphalt began August 14. Following adjustment to manhole covers, the final layer of asphalt is expected to be completed well ahead of the anticipated October 2012 completion date.
