Overview
The Bicycle Patrol program of the Roselle Police Department is an integral part of our Community Oriented Policing efforts.
Any organization or citizen may request a bike officer to participate in a special event or function by contacting the Police Department at (630) 980-2025.
Function
Officers ride specially equipped patrol bicycles on the streets and bike paths of the Village. The patrol bike is an effective tool for the Police Department to patrol in areas that are hard for the officer to observe from a squad car.
Bike Officers ride in their assigned patrol zones and have an opportunity to interact with citizens, particularly children, from a more effective vantage point than in a vehicle.
