Application Procedures for Police Officers and Firefighters
The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners appoint successful applicants to the position of Police Officer and Firefighter. This selection process begins with a competitive testing program.
Candidates that successfully complete the testing process are listed and ranked according to the number of points earned. The list is good for two years from the date of posting. Police Officer Candidate Final Eligibility Register (September 12, 2017-September 11, 2019).
The Roselle Police Department holds open, competitive examinations bi-annually to establish lists of persons eligible for appointment to the position of entry level police officer. The examination cycle is currently underway, with an application deadline of May 16, 2019. Please see the Police Test Information page for details.
