Rodenburg Road Reconstruction and Resurfacing
The Village of Roselle and the Village of Schaumburg are jointly leading the Rodenburg Road Reconstruction and Resurfacing project. This project will reconstruct Rodenburg Road in Schaumburg from Irving Park Road to the Village limits; in Roselle, the project will reconstruct the pavement from the Village limits to Timberleaf Circle and resurface the pavement from Timberleaf Circle to Central Avenue. Work is scheduled to start in mid-September 2023 and anticipated to be completed in the late fall of 2024. Depending on weather, final landscaping could push to spring 2025.
Rodenburg Road is classified as a Federal Aid Route (FAU) which allows the use of federal funding for the project. By joining this project with the Village of Schaumburg’s project extending to Irving Park Road, the Village was able to secure funding for 80% of the cost of the construction of the project. The Villages of Roselle and Schaumburg have partnered on this project with each municipality responsible for the costs associated with the project up to the Village limits located at the railroad crossing.
