Recycling

Overview

The Village of Roselle established a recycling program for its residents in 1990 to conserve landfill space and natural resources. Since that time, the recycling program and the types of materials accepted by our hauler have expanded tremendously. For a complete overview, please view the Refuse & Recycling Guide (PDF) provided by Flood Brothers Disposal.

The Village of Roselle recycling program includes the following information:

  • Carts are available in three sizes (95, 65, and 35 gallon sizes).
  • Residents who wish to change cart sizes should contact Flood Brothers at (630) 261-0400.
On occasions where extra or bulky material does not fit into the cart, place the items alongside the cart for manual pickup.

Items in Recycling Cart - Empty Clean & Dry
Flood Brothers Disposal is asking residents to ensure that all materials placed in there recycling carts are always empty, clean, and dry. If there is doubt where and item belongs, it should be discarded in the garbage cart.

Electronic Recycling

A law enacted in 2012 bans TVs, computers, laptops, keyboards, monitors, printers, peripherals, VCR/DVD players, gaming systems, MP3 players and other electronic items from Illinois landfills. Flood Brothers offers curbside electronic waste collection on a per-charge basis, $25 for up to six items. Customers will need to contact Flood Brothers 24 hours in advance to arrange for these services.
