At their October 3 meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission will consider amending the Village of Roselle Zoning Ordinance to include regulations on structures for keeping chickens. Community members are welcome to attend this public hearing. Attendees are strongly encouraged to submit their comments in advance. Submit your comments online at www.roselle.il.us/250/Planning-and-Zoning-Commission. The P&Z Commission meets at 7 PM in the Village Board Room, 31 S. Prospect Street.
After their October 3 meeting, the P&Z Commission will share their recommendations with the Village Board. If the P&Z Commission recommends updating the Zoning Ordinance related to structures for chickens, those amendments would be accompanied by proposed amendments to Village Code to permit chickens within incorporated Roselle. The Village Board would have to approve any Zoning Ordinance or Village Code amendments at a future Board meeting.
